The purpose of this summit was to bring together educators, business people and policy makers from diverse backgrounds with common goals: 

  • Raise public awareness of the need for economic & financial literacy education.

  • Advocate the integrating of economic & finance literacy education into existing curricular standards.

  • Enhance professional development of Kansas educators in economic & financial literacy.

  • Promote communication and cooperation.

This program was made possible by the National Council on Economic Education through funding from the United States Department of Education Office of Innovation and Improvement.  There is no registration fee.

 

We hope that each district will be represented at this very important Summit.  This event will bring together a diverse group to allow for a discussion regarding the current state of financial and economic education in our schools.  These topics are of great importance and have been made a priority in our Nation.   A few of our event speakers include:
